How to play Warship
Warship is a naval guessing game for two players. Each side secretly places a fleet of five ships on a 10x10 grid: a Carrier (5 squares), Battleship (4), Cruiser (3), Submarine (3) and Destroyer (2). Players take turns calling a square. The other side says whether it is a hit or a miss, and when a ship has taken hits on every square it is sunk. The first player to sink the whole enemy fleet wins.
Tips to win
- Search in a checkerboard pattern. Every ship is at least two squares long, so you never need to fire at every square.
- After a hit, fire at the squares next to it until you find the direction, then follow the line.
- Do not hide ships in the same predictable places every time. Mix up your layout.
- Keep track of which ships are left. A hit run of five squares must be the Carrier.
