How to play Mahjong solitaire
The goal is to remove all 144 tiles from the board by matching identical pairs. A tile can be picked only if it is free: nothing lies on top of it, and it can slide out to the left or to the right. Tap one free tile, then tap a second free tile with the same picture to remove both.
- Any flower tile matches any other flower tile, and any season tile matches any other season tile.
- Blocked tiles look slightly darker than free tiles.
- Stuck? Use Hint to see a pair, Undo to take back a move, or Shuffle to rearrange the remaining tiles.
- Every new game is dealt so that it can be cleared.
Strategy tips
- Work on the tall stacks first. They hide the most tiles.
- When there are several matching tiles, remove the ones that free the most blocked tiles.
- Be careful with the last copies of a tile. If one is buried under its partner, you can get stuck.
