How to play
The board shows playing cards. On your turn, play a card from your hand and put your chip on a matching space on the board. Then you draw a new card. Make a line of five of your chips in a row, across, down or diagonally, to score a row. In a two-player game you need two rows to win. With three players, one row wins.
- Free corners: the four gold corner spaces count as a chip for everyone.
- Wild jacks (clubs and diamonds): place your chip on any empty space.
- Remove jacks (spades and hearts): take an opponent's chip off the board, unless it is already part of a completed row.
- Dead cards: if both spaces for a card you hold are covered, you can swap that card for a new one once per turn, then play normally.
- Two rows may share one chip.
Tips to win
- Use the corners. A line that touches a corner needs only four chips.
- Build lines that can be finished in two ways, so one block is not enough.
- Save wild jacks to finish a row or to stop an opponent who is about to win.
- Remove jacks are best used to break an opponent's four in a row.
